Hit the Top

- Both dramas are rom-coms about time travel - Hit The Top is about a younger version of the father travelling to the future. - Interesting dynamic between the FL, ML and SML (more of a friendship that rivalry) - If you're a Cha Eun Woo fan, he is in this drama. - Both have fun friendship dynamics and great chemistry
One More Time is also a time travel/loop story. In both dramas ML is related to music, but "OMT" ML comes back to the same day all over again to save his girlfriend destiny, while in "Lovely" FL goes back in time to stop ML's death from happening in the future.
Lovely Runner will be my all time favorite because of the cast and the entire happy haze it created for me. This drama has just begun and it is already making me laugh like crazy. So, these both rom-com share similar vibes. Apart from that, one is a fairytale-based romance (Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale) while the other is time travel based (Lovely Runner).
Both have FLs that had near death experience but MLs saves them. The FLs will have an opportunity to save the MLs too. Both have green flag leads with great chemistry.
Both involve time travel, where the FL lead gets thrown back in time and tries to prevent her ML from dying. In Dramatic Self-Help Strategy the FL has a trigger for her to time travel, while in Lovely Runner FL doesn’t have a trigger. Both basically have the same plot concept, which was done quite well in both.
The ml in this drama gives vibes of ml from WLFKBJ! Both ml's do swimming, one is in high school whilst the other is in uni.
?Both are feel good dramas ?Both dramas have "eyecandy" heroes ? ?In lovely runner FL time travels to save ML life while in Present is Present ML time travels to save FL life
Both have supernatural elements, themes of true love across time, being chased by a psycho, and intense protectiveness of one another, both the FL and ML.
the time capsule, he having a secret crush since high school, him having an injure and not being able to swim again, meting each other after a long time, both losers, neighbours, both male leads missing swimming
Both dramas have female lead goes back in time and falls for the male lead. Lovely Runner has more of the mystery element and she gets several chances to go back like in Shining for One Thing while in Parallel Love she goes back but tries to return to her time and accidently falls for the main lead. In both dramas the male lead finds out that she is from the future and her past and future selves may feel differently about him but they are willing to wait for years to meet her again in her time.
- Both have Byeon Woo Seok as the ML - Same vibe as around 2000s high school romance - Dealing with death - Overall, these are just two excellent shows/movies that share the same vibe
-Not related to time travel. -Not idol × fans trope. -He fell first and fell harder trope. -Both ML shows 5 different types of love languages really care towards FL. -Both ML & FL involve in sports specifically whereas Lovely Runner involve in entertainment. If you are looking for a green-flagged or even green forest type of male lead. This show is one of them.
You say simp and the ML from LR and FL from WIFTY will compete to take the call ?? Though they have different genre high school and green flag friendship is what is the most common factor about both of them ? P.S: Rewatch value 10/10 for both Watched too many edits of SWDBS ML being the oldest, LR ML being the middle and FL WIFTY being the youngest child. ?
Repeated timelines while trying to achieve better ending. Queen In Hyun's Man is a romance heavy drama, with much less plot holes than lovely runner, and the acting is to the point. Lovely Runner on the other hand while it is a little weak on the acting and pacing part, it's full of fluff from start to finish. Both are rom com. Recommend both of them.
Completely different stories, but they had similar quality in storylines the series stayed strong through out delivery a decent story with a lot of lighthearted comedic moments peppered in between. And unlike most series there wasn’t a midseries slump where the storyline loses steam, your attention it engaged from the first to last episodes.
