Synopsis:

"Dana Sakura" is a 20 episodes drama series which depicts the conflicts between the Japanese colonial rulers and the Musha (Wushe) "Seediq" people during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Mona Rudao, the son of a chief of the Seediq tribe of Taiwanese aborigines, is the protagonist of the story. Mona Rudao became famous for orchestrating the Wushe incident in what is now Nantou County in 1930 against the Japanese authorities. The Taiwanese viewed him as a hero for carrying out a revolt and he is now one of the figures on New Taiwan Dollar coins. (Source: PTS Taiwan YouTube)
