Shizuka lives with her deaf father, Junsuke, who owns a photo studio in a local shopping district. Her mother, also deaf, passed away when she was young, making Shizuka her father's communication link since childhood. She communicates through gestures and intense eye contact, which doesn't sit well with her restaurant coworkers. However, her life takes a turn when she assists Keiichi, a frequent diner, who struggles to communicate.
