Go Ahead

8.9 2020

Similar nostalgic family genre. Similar inspiring/soothing OSTs. Lots of heartwarming sibling/family scenes. Go Ahead is funnier and more romantic. It also has MUCH better parent characters. Though most of the moms are trash, the dads are AMAZING. And lots and lots of eye candy with Steven Zhang, Seven Tan(Tan Songyun) and Song Weilong.
Ugly Alert

8.3 2013

This is the longest drama I have ever watched starting from the child actors to the main cast, everything is flawlessly. Difference: there is not bad parents and it is korean drama. Similar : the story starts when they are child and the Big Brother take care for his siblings when their parents pass away. The good is leads dont break up under any smal circumstances. There is second lead couple Focused to family . Understanding each other. No dangerous villains.
Dear Parents

They are both dramas centred around family and the struggles they face. The characters are very realistic and the plot is very grounded. It's easy to relate to these stories.
All Is Well

Both have similar plots: mother passing away, useless father, realistic family problems and siblings getting united throughout the story.
- siblings story But it realtes to step siblings and their everyone goes to their own path ofc in last episodes they reunited one by one try it out! It's not very similar but ofc u won't regert
I'm recommending this as I recognised a few veteran actors and actresses from The Story of Ming Lan. ???
Similarities: Both dramas revolve around a family. They both depict family drama and being there for your family no matter how much they annoy you. Both dramas are well written and acted. The eldest and the youngest daughters in both dramas are similar in personality and how they are written. Both have romance plots for the all of the siblings but it is not the main focus of the drama. Differences: The main difference is one is a Chinese drama and one is a Korean drama. MYIS is a longer in episode length (52 episodes) than The Bond (36 episodes). The Bond takes place between the 1980s-1990s in China; where MFIS takes place in 2010s in Korea. MFIS has more comedic elements but The Bond does have some light humor. The father in MYIS is a likeable father despite the flaws. The father in The Bond is not a likeable character but is well written. The father is more of a main character in MYIS than compared to The Bond. The mother has pasted in The Bond; where the mother is alive in MYIS. I loved both dramas and highly recommend watching both.
Go Brother!

8.3 2018

Much like The Bond, Go Brother! focuses on a pair of siblings, which like your typical siblings fight and argue a lot. Only one day as a birthday wish, the sister wishes away her older brother and finds out she's now an only child like she's always wanted. This, like The Bond, will pull at your heartstrings with the wholesome interactions to the huge realizations of how important true family is only once you've let it slip away. I don't wanna spoil much but trust me, get a big box of tissue beforehand especially if like me you have a sibling, you'll want to go hug them real tight right after this. 10/10 recommend especially if you've just watched The Bond and need to fill in that void.
I recommend this both drama because , Male lead and Female lead try to solve problem In one drama explosion and another student murder/suicide
Both drama take place around 80s-90s Bii pi th drama give off the same vibe. Both drama give off family bond and Zhang Wanyi starred in both drama.
Both: - talks about family and the struggles - slice of life Zhou Yi Ran (Jin Jia Jun) plays a main role in the Bond as (Qiao Qi Qi) Tang Yi Xin (Liu Xiao Jie) play a supporting character in the Bond
Both about big brother taking care of siblings, heartwarming, illness Both brothers sacrifice for their family and have trouble some little brother
If you like family life set in the last few decades set in similar style of communities, then The Bond & Romance in the Alley will appeal. Same director too.

Both of them are slice of life drama's and focus a lot on family issues and friendship. Both of them are set in 1900 as well so they give very similar vibes.
- About siblings relationship. - They always bicker and fight but in the end, they'll show how they care for each other and when they're in trouble they find ways to help one another. - You'll smile, laugh, cry. - The siblings are beautiful/handsome.
