Between two main leads, the one is very lucky and the other one is very unlucky. The similiarities is the male lead is very lucky and the female lead is very unlucky. The big difference is this drama not include the horror.

The main leaders are Shen Yue (Shancai - 2018) & Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Si - 2001) in Meteor Garden. Jerry Yan said his iconic "what is the police for if apologies works" in Meteor Garden & Count Your Lucky Stars Dylan Wang (Dao Ming Si - 2018) said his iconic "What is the police for if apologies works" too. BTS Shen Yue & Dylan Wang (DyShen / DiYue / YueDi / CaiSi) are really so good, sweet & cute too..i really hope they will always together in real life, drama, variety show, sing & dance together, etc. F3 are so cute too The same romantic, sweet & cute dramas. Love triangle too

- Both FL have "bad luck" in their daily lives - Cheerful FL who tries to stay optimistic with their luck - Both ML's are bosses in the business industry, who eventually open up to the FL - The FL runs into the ML at random times, till they start to work for the ML (like an assistant) - Both couples have a range of age differences (not sure how big for MCWML, probably a small difference) - They have a hidden past between each other (accidentally met each other in an accident)

-Both dramas talk about fashion designer -I think Tong XiaoYou and Liu Nuan Nuan are so similar. Their personalities are so adorable and lovely. -If you are a huge fan of rom-com dramas then it might be your choice.

My recommendation might be a little off because My Unicorn Girl centers around the college life while Count your Lucky Stars is not. But they both have some similarities like strong female lead,the ML chases the FL first and again both talk about luck where the FL needs to kiss the ML to exchange their licks back.

They both have a young woman entering the workforce, a mentor/mentee relationship, older man/younger women, a ML with a complicated past, where his interactions with the FL help bring him out of his shell. CYLS is more focused on the romance. Also, while there is again, a real life 20 year age gap, the FL was actually in her early 20’s which allowed a bit more physical romance.

Both talk about industries that are related to one another - Count Your Lucky Stars presents the fashion industry while My Girl presents the make-up industry. In a way both show some kind of boss-employee kind of relationship. There are also similar plot lines like the male lead having a trauma, the model character becoming best friends with the female lead, etc.

Similar feel with the stories. The term luck is involved as well as going forward in workplace in terms of responsibilities.

Female lead’s luck is very bad while the male lead’s is good. They bumped into each other one day and their luck exchanged.
