1. Both are about crimes
2. Both have supernaturals in order to solve crimes
3. Both have good stories
4. both are at police station setting.
Tell Me What You Saw (2020)
Similars
both have Jang Hyuk and a female character with "abnormal" abilities. both are great quality mystery thrillers
For those non-romcom fanatics like me, these are the 2 crime/thriller Korean drama series I can highly suggest.
Both having the storyline of investigations and very interesting cases, I just got hooked on to these that easily.
So, if you are looking for more intensifying scenes and climaxes, these 2 are the best for you! :) I hope you'll have the same thought as mine after watching these.
1. Both the main character have photographic memory.
2. they're both related to crimes.
3. both are a good story.
4. Both the main lead continued and were extremely determined is because their loved ones were victims of crimes.
remeber (father, unlawfully sentenced/ TMWYS, killed.).
5. Both are action thriller.
both are criminal detective dramas using unconventional means to reach the culprit
in Border, it is about a ghost-seeing-detective .
while in Tell me what you saw is about a detective with a photographic memory
Signal is my representative kdrama in the thriller mystery genre, and Tell Me What You Saw gave off that vibe, also the start of the 1st ep really reminded me of signal too
Another series based on a profiler, who identifies a killer with his instincts. Both series follows a grisly murders tracked by a profiler who is not liked by peers and together with a female partner solves a crime and hunt a murderer and his purpose.
Basically the same main lead with a different skill. Instead of being able to memorize everything, she can see sents. Both deal about murder cases, both have a character who is, because of what happened to them, needing the the person with the special ability.
Both involves investigation .
FL has supernatural ability in both the series.
However Tell Me What You Saw is much darker, and also romance aspect is almost nil. Also there is no double life of ML here.
Just thought Good job looks interesting and also has Comedy aspect. Note both are different in many aspects.
Both main female leads have a special ability that makes it possible for them to help an investigation squad. Both dramas deal about murder cases.
Both Memorist and Tell me what you saw revolve around crime investigation.
Also both have one of the leads with a special ability and one is a profiler.
In Memorist the ML has psychic powers and he is helped by a FL profiler, in TMWYS the FL has a photographic memory and she is helped by ML profile.
Both dramas carefully and masterfully show you hints and fragments of the whole along the way, keeping you guessing but giving you enough to feel satiated with every new episode.
They both focus on an intelligent main serial killer.
Both have similar vibes. MLs use extreme means to achieve his goals. In Awaken, the ML is clearly more emotional and has a clear bottom line. In TMWYS, it's a lot blurrier. FL clearly likes ML in Awaken but that doesn't seem to be the case in TMWYS.
Both female leads help the male leads solve cases by reporting to them what they have seen and heard. Remote is a bit more light-hearted and comedic.
if you liked Tell me what you saw i am sure you gonna like Class of lies too, that's my opinion.
Class of lies is about a highly successful lawyer who falls from grace because of one case. He becomes a fixed term teacher at a high school that is tied to that case in order to regain his honor. Though he goes into the classroom for selfish reasons, he begins to see the crimes that take place and he takes matters into his own hands to help protect victims from their peers. The drama will shine a spotlight on the reality of teenagers facing little to no repercussions after committing a crime because they are teenagers, providing no protection for those who become a victim to these crimes.
