both have the same atmosphere, though in Ouran we have hosts and in Mei-chan we have butlers. The comedy is pretty much the same, though Ouran is a little more on the comedy side, whereas Mei-chan is more romantic than Ouran. The girls in both dramas are orphans and a little awkward. They both have lovable characters.
Mei-chan no Shitsuji (2009)
Similars
both dramas focus on a young woman who becomes romantically involved with her butler.
A girl discovers that she has inherited not only a fortune but also a butler - thus she must enter an academy for fancy ladies.
It doesn't matter that one is Korean and the other Japanese, both of these dramas are about a butler and his mistress falling in love with each other, and having to deal with the people around them not being accepting of their relationship.
19-year-old beautiful Shiratori Reiko is a self-professed ultimate princess. Despite her haughty attitude, she is actually a very late bloomer and knows nothing of the real world. Reiko has had feelings for Akimoto Tetsuya since childhood, but her enormous pride always gets in the way, and she cannot tell him in all honesty that she is in love with him.
Tetsuya soon becomes a university student, and Reiko follows him to Tokyo. But he is constantly at the mercy of her overly unique sensibilities. Then Tetsuya’s ex-girlfriend, a cute high school girl, the wealthy Yoshimoto Ryunosuke, who has fallen in love at first sight with Reiko and Reiko’s rival, Kakitsubata Ayame, appears before the two of them.

When I first watched Mei-chan no Shitsuji I immediately thought of Atashinchi no Danshi. The main charachter of both drama's are poor, but then they discover that they came from a rich family. They have the same vibes, and the story is quite different, but the same.
Oomasa Aya the girl who played Sunako portrayed an entirely different role here. Here shes more of the lady that sunako tried hard to achieve. Plus you might enjoy a swarm of Ikemen butlers like the one AYA has, or Mukai, Hiro and Sato Takeru
The acting is very similar. Both casts are great and really pull off their characters well. Both dramas have a relatively small amount of episodes, so each episode is jam-packed with tons of plot twists and amazing scenes!
-Both female leads came from a rich family without originally knowing themselves
-Both female leads fell in love with their butlers
Mizushima Hiro plays a butler in both. Kuroshitsuji is a movie and more dark than Me-chan no Shitsuji but both are good and if you liked his acting as a butler you should give the other one a try too.
