Assistant x Singer
I found many similarities towards the concept of these two while I rewatched Accidentally in Love. Not only does the singer not get to sing the types of songs he likes but the assistant and singer both start out as disliking each other. Differences between these two is that Accidentally in Love is more comedic based while The Brightest Star in the Sky has a more serious feel.
The Brightest Star in the Sky (2019)
Similars
- Both star Ztao as the main lead
- FL works for the ML as his assistant
- Similar bickering relationship between the ML and FL
- FL likes the second lead at first but then he betrays her.
- In both dramas the FL helps the second lead with his work and helps him try to get to the top.
- Similar type of comedy
- Ztao's character is very similar in both dramas and very real (I think he put his own personality in his characters).
- BSitS is an outright slow burn whilst LR is sort of a slow burn only the ML always liked the FL and the FL slowly grows to like him the same way.

- Both ML are celebrities
- The chemistry between FL and ML is sweet, fluffy and cute
-similar ml

-fl is not his fan
-slow burn love, hate to love
if you like one, I promise you'll like the other!
both male leads are celebrities
both female leads are their PA
Haven't watched both of them but the trailers seem a bit similar to me.
The plot looks the same. The Smile Time, the FL is an assistant to an idol group preparing for debut while in Brightest star in the sky the FL is an assistant to an established singer. Even the poster looks the same especially the color
They are both romantic comedies with a musical male lead. They fall in love while working together in both dramas as well.
this is a drama of janice wu and huang zi tao as yang zhenzhen and zheng boxu and its super recommended rom-com music drama when zheng boxu propose to yang zhenzhen made me cry so watch it now

At L.M.E., Gong Xi meets famous actor Dun Helian, who eventually falls in love with her. ~~ Adapted from the manga “Skip Beat!” by Nakamura Yoshiki
The stories were super similar, but the show business aspect of Bei Bei and Jiawei careers reminded me of The Brightest Star in the Sky and it honestly made me want to rewatch it. It made think how I wish they showed more scenes of Bei Bei being a career driven actress because all I got from this drama was that we were told that Bei Bei was this amazing actress, and we just had to believe it.
There's not much similarity but I got reminded of Fall in Love with Me when I was watching The Brightest Star in the Sky. Many songs of the soundtrack is also sung by the male lead which are pretty good.
- Both of the male leads are rich with the female leads struggling with money (sorta)
The vibe is kinda similar but instead new manager and artist
They both have a good balance of romance, comedy and story
Love the leads of both dramas
They also both start off as a love hate relationship
Imo this dramas have similar content:
> hate to love relationship
> ML is musician
> ML is quite childish and nervous
> FL take care of the ML
> ML confessed first
> fresh vibe and modern soundtrack
My Dear Donovan drama reminds me of The Brightest Star in the Sky, as both Female Leads have never been personal managers before and had different job backgrounds. Thus, the Female Leads learn the rope of the job specifically and the entertainment industry generally. Both Male Leads are celebrities. Both Male Leads are supportive to their Female Leads, vice versa. Both also show the work scope of the agencies that are not as glamorous as it seen, full with issues.
The difference is the length and complexity of work of personal manager and talent agencies. My Dear Donovan is only 10 episodes, thus less complex. The Brightest Star is 44 episodes, drags in some side stories.
