Both JDramas are about baking & romance. Both are very similar...........................................................................................
This story follows the sweet and “overprotective” newly-wed life between Someya Yukito, a young master of an established inn in Asakusa, and Tsuruoka Io, a pure-hearted female apprentice training to be a chef. Tsuruoka was in the depths of despair until she found solace in the sweet konpeito candy given to her by Someya. Since then, she has earnestly cherished her feelings while training as a chef. Yukito’s affectionate words and actions reserved only Tsuruoka, along with his excessively cute jealousy, create an irresistibly heart-fluttering devotion with a charming gap that’s impossible to resist!
Takeshi, an Italian restaurant chef, and Ruri could have been lovers, but Takeshi was too comfortable with their current relationship that he chose to stay best friends with her. Now, Ruri is engaged to another man and Takeshi is deep in regret. He runs through the night of Tokyo to tell her his true feelings before it's too late, but right as he stands in front of Ruri, an unfortunate accident takes his life away. However, a twist of fate brings them back together once again in an ironic situation. "Eternal First Love" unfolds as a bittersweet story of an everlasting "first love."
They are both dramatic, twisted stories about unhealthy love and sweets. Souta, the hero of Shitsuren Chocolatier, is burdened with a one-sided love for Saeko that he becomes a patissier just to impress her. But this isn't your classic love story - this is a story of the dangers of idolisation, of obsession and facades and desperation for connection. Tsubaki and Nao are unhealthy for different reasons, of course, but the shows feel like a natural pair.

Two points of similarity we find in both of the series; food in some form (chocolate in Shitsuren Chocolatier and Italian in Bambino!) and the ML is Matsumoto Jun too.
