Over the last hundred years, while the mystery of the ruins of ancient Kingdom Loulan, in the Lop Nor desert in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region have attracted lots of researchers and expeditionists, countless tomb raiders have sneaked in for cultural relics, damaging everything along the way. In recent years, two men have been stationed by the local museum in the heart of the unpopulated desert, to keep an eye on the ruins. They spend months alone, without any communication with the outer world and are only go out once a month for supplies.
