Han Qi Luo, an extremely shy art student went to the same college as Chen Ling, a popular play boy. By chance one day they met at a park when Chen Ling asked Qi Luo for direction to a hospital to visit his friend who was injured in a bike racing incident. Hurriedly Qi Luo drew him a map, unknowing that she was drawing on the back of one of her sketches. She ran off before he could thank her. He then noticed the sketch of a mother holding a baby and was touched. In school Qi Luo was sexually harassed by a teacher and Chen Ling came to her rescue. They began to grow fond of each other but each of them had a secret past that needed to be addressed and overcome before they could accept and love one another freely.
Both movies have similar atmosphere from old times, so you get to enjoy old korean music, see old clothes styles and, also, imagine how korean teenagers lived when they didn't have mobile phones! Both movies are about friendship, hardships and, of course, first love. But I could say that "Hot Young Bloods" isn't as sad as "Unforgettable", and, in my mind, has more 'dirty' languages :) And if you like Korean satoori (dialects) you should watch both movies and fall for main characters cute satoori. Did I mention that actors are great in both movies? Yes, they are. "Unforgettable" has Kim Soo Hyun (The moon that embraces the sun, I miss you, School who are you) and D.O (It's okay that's love). And "Hot young bloods" has Park Bo Young (Werewolf boy, Oh my chost) and Lee Jong Suk (I hear your voice, Pinocchio, Doctor stranger, Secret Garden, School 2013) as main leads.

They both have the comedic rival gang feel to them. And a ridiculous main couple. I don't know exactly how to describe the similarities outside of the fact that these movies remind me of eachother. ¯\_(?)_/¯

Youth, friendship, crushes, high school, gangs... These two movies have a lot of themes in common and are both really funny!

Both movies reminisce about high school days and bring about the nostalgia of adolescence and high school friendships.
Young and Dangerous tells the story of Chan Ho Nam, "Chicken" Chiu , Tai Tin Yee , Pao Pan and his brother Chow Pan during their inclusion into the "Hung Hing" Society. The focus is on internal squabbling within the triad, spearheaded by "Ugly Kwan". Based on a popular comic book series named "Teddy Boy", the film contributed a lot to the public image of triads and was condemned by certain quarters as glorifying secret triad societies. However, it was immensely popular in Hong Kong and spun a long list of sequels and spin-offs.
Reply 1997

Both Reply 1997 and Hot Young Bloods follow the stories of teenagers in the recent past - Reply 1997 takes place in the 90s, and Hot Young Bloods in the 80s. They both pay careful attention to the aesthetic details of the era. But beyond the fact that they’re both “retro”, they also both portray characters that are normal, relatable teenagers. None of the characters are outrageously rich, celebrities, damsels in distress or alpha heroes… Both female leads are a little on the “strong” side, they’re more assertive than the male leads, that are slightly timid. The male leads, despite being awkward and flawed (and occasionally ridiculous) teenagers, are still attractive. And both this movie and this drama have a nice mix of romance, comedy, and slight notes of sadness, that sums up into good coming-of-age stories!
