Same writer, similar topics about crime in high society, coruption also abusive rich people who play 'game' with life and death. While The Revenge rely on thrilling drama, more bloody, heavily on revenge plot. The Player focus on sexual tension and mind game, explore on how far any character can do, can they cross the line to hide their dark secrets away from others.

They are both centered around a powerful, but corrupt family. Both main characters are female leads. The male lead and female lead team up to essentially solve the case. The Revenge is however more graphic.

So the only reason I am recommending K2 for The Revenge is because of the bodyguard aspect and the actions. The OST even reminds me of K2, but the Revenge is a whole lot darker than the K2.

the female lead has a childhood trauma (raped by her father/foster father) that affects her to the present day one of the differences is that in the revenge she thinks its natural, normal but in bad beauty, she knows its wrong

both have twins in them. one twin does an investigation to find out how the other died. conspiracy, murder and mystery surrounding a company.

If you were into the Prae storyline, then you might like Revenge 2017. In Revenge, the victim is the one who seeks revenge for herself and her loved one. Phenomenal acting by the main leads and support cast. Warning: Violence, gore. Not for the faint of heart.

both have fathers that were destroyed but the evil and greedy intentions of a businessman. there is also a lighter side to both dramas and it balances out well with the intense or melodramatic moments.
