Both female leads end up working in a Ryokan, not by choice and learn the challenges of handling work politics and difficult customers. Kamo Kyoto e Iku focus more on her career in becoming a ryokan owner, Promise Cinderella focus more on her romantic life while working in a ryokan.

Both takes place in Kyoto, while one focus on the work lives in Maiko House, the other focus on the work lives in a Ryokan. Suited for those who loves Kyoto and Japanese culture.
