The Good Detective (2020)

At first both of these I doubted to start it But they ended to be my top dramas ever.

To be honest, the good detective was the kdrama that made me join this world of police/detective/psychological and investigation dramas, it is really really good and nothing happens as you expect (or wish, sadly). A happy ending but not for every one of the characters that are good people, I hope you will like it like I did!

Both have a rich ML who is a cop. however, in the good detective he was already a cop but got inheritance from his rich uncle. In flex X cop he is an illegitimate son of a chaebol enjoying the rich life, but he causes trouble and is forced to work as a detective. Both have a dysfuntional chaebol family that is an important part of the plot. Both have their own traumas that affected them deeply and caused insomnia.

Both explores injustice and the exploits of a corrupt system from an old case. Both very solid crime/ legal dramas

not a thriller or anything but it has the same team dynamics with fighting for a particular type of justice. this is about labor laws though.

not the same in tone but both handling double jeopardy and the death penalty in SK. not really much on the ensemble (confession) but an interesting plot.

Because it's just 1 episode uploaded and today will be the second episode i only saw that something it's similar. A crime happen in the past and a person is senteced to death in prison. And story will be continued.....

Both are crime dramas where the lead detectives and their colleagues try to solve an older case whilist going against their superiors. Tunnel has a fantasy and time travel element, while The Good Detective has a more realistic setting

Both MLs are detectives who work on a particular case and are relentless. Team dynamic and MLs both with great humor.

Both have two passionate MLs with good bromance. The FLs have good roles to play. First responders deeps dives into the professions lives, while good detective shows ordinary detectives uncovering something bigger than themselves.

Both detectives leading the investigations are independently rich (bringing interesting workplace dynamics), Elijah is in both of them (I thought it was just someone looking a lot like her, LOL, initially, nope, same actress), both MLs (of the two dramas) have colourful past experiences and things to clear up. Also, both MLs are definitely smart and tend to notice small details (which is always a plus.) TGD had a pair of detectives, it looks like Bait/Decoy won't. Depending on how Bait/Decoy develops, it might turn more noir than TGD ended up.

Both dramas feature an unlikely pair of detectives with their own hidden agendas to solve, who throughout the series grow closer and act together in the interest of serving justice. They both also have to deal with a series of crimes related to their own pasts, and are linked through those crimes, even if they don't appreciate that. BE's soundtrack is a bit more atmospheric, TGD has a bit more romance, but they're rather similar in tone and storytelling. I found both to be good stories in their own right and deserving of a watch.

It's the second season of the same drama with the same cast but not the same female lead detective drama

Both stories are about a group of people trying to reveal hidden mysteries. Both have good chemistry main couple, it’s not romantic but the explosive chemistry is worth watching. Chimera does have a better background story than The Good Detective.

A mysterious detective partner duo, teaming up with a strong female lead. Corruption, cases being not what they seem to be, and police officers making mistakes. All are both themes in both dramas. So far, however, The Good Detective seems like the little sister to Watcher. If you enjoy The Good Detective you will adore Watcher.
