In the summer of 1983, many were searching for family members who were separated during the Korean War through televised reunification campaigns. At her husband's urging, Hwa Young goes to a meeting place for family members, triggering memories of when her family moved to the town of Kilsodeum, where she met and fell in love with the son of a family friend.
