Go Go Squid! (2019)

I feel with the computer-related majors and the game theme, both dramas are pretty similar. Tho I feel Go Go Squid! has a much cuter feel.

The plot focuses on e-sports and how the main leads want to win the championship ages ago but never did since something always occurred along the way. Years later, their dream of winning the championship still exists so they continue down the road and meet the female lead along the way.

Both have esports in them. Go go squid is a sweet love story. The female lead is a top student but is not good in games but is excellent in AI. The male lead is more than 10 years older than her and only thinks about his team and wants to fulfill their dreams.

Adapted from novels of the same author. Both female leads are a fan of the male lead and somehow got to meet the male lead and fall in love. Both fls are also college students who fell in love with older famous male lead. Both male leads are the greenest flag as well and they both have very supportive friends.

Who doesn't want more Yang Zi? Yang Zi plays a bright and youthful FL in both dramas with a ML 10 years her senior who has been jaded by very tough life experiences. Opposites attract in these two extremely sweet romances. Go Go Squid focuses a lot on career while The Oath of Love focuses a lot on family. Both are a must watch if you're into romantic comedies! Soooo cute, funny, heartwarming, and the chemistry is so natural--truly top notch! Bonus: both include very beautiful and meaningful OST tracks that are sang by the leads themselves!

Both male leads give very similar feeling. they both are retired (or kinda) from their respective career, and were the best at their fields. Both females are strong in their fields and have a shy-type of personalities. difference is in AASOL the male is chasing the female and in GGS the female is actively chasing the male. They both also have supportive teammates characters that make the scenes funny and interesting. oh and they both are written by the same authors...
