both of these shows are to make a new girl group from members. there is a lot of returning cast from produce 48 to queendom puzzle. the editing is very similar as well as the format.

Both are girl group survival shows with contract periods. Produce 48 has fifty-fifty ish Korean and Japanese contestants while Girls Planet 999 has Korean, Japanese and Chinese contestants

SIXTEEN was also popular survival show created by JYP. This survival show was created in other to produce a girl group named TWICE. The similarity is both show produce huge girl group, not only korean but included Japanese.

Idol school is a survival show under MNET in order to create a new girl group. The girls were trained in a school by the popular trainers such as Kim Hee Chul. This show created a rookie girl group named FROMIS

Produce 48 (Hangul: ???? 48) is an upcoming "survival" reality television show on Mnet. It is a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 trainees from Japan and Korea, as well as voting for the group's concept, debut single, and group name. It is a collaboration between the Mnet series Produce 101 and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning members will promote as a group for two and a half years.
