Something in the Rain (2018)

Fake It Till You Make It has a very similar tone to Something in the Rain! Both are good slow burn, friends to lovers stories. Both depict a more real to life, mature relationship between adults and deal with some of the difficulties and obstacles in relationships, beyond just being in love. Definitely one of the most mature and better produced cdramas I’ve seen! The chemistry between the leads in both is absolutely electric! Heart fluttering, butterflies. If you like one, give the other a try!
Both the show started exactly like same as- 1. Older woman/ younger man 2.family/ sibling like relationship between leads 3.some of the scenes are exactly like same as SITR 4. Both leads have great chemistry and 5.leads of both shows are cute and handsome It's an adaption with its own colour
It works through similar themes and has a similar aesthetic to Before We Get Married: - Female lead is in a bad relationship, and her ex later places a significant role in the drama. - Both relationships are kept secret/are taboo for different reasons - Similar action moments later in the drama - Has a similar approach to dealing with themes of marriage, adulthood, relationships, fidelity, sex, the workplace, etc.
Both movies share that cheesy, romantic, and giddy love vibe. And I felt like the storyline was kind of the same. Also, the same actor(Jung Hae-in) plays in Something in the Rain as well.
It has the same mellow feel and realistic ups and downs of a relationship. If you enjoyed Something in The Rain and the feeling of a mature love then this will be a perfect match for you.
Both dramas have older FL being chased by young ML. Both have adorable chemistry between the leads.
I also recommended the Chinese remake of this k-drama which is called “Love The Way You Are” (2022). If you want the same vibe of forbidden/taboo couple and non-blood related sibling-like relationship, SITR is a good option. However, SITR is way more heavy in terms of the drama/melodrama, does not have as much of an innocent feel since the characters are older/more mature, and there is way more parent opposition which is a huge part of the plot. SITR and LTWYA are also both noona romances. Here’s the plot summary: Yoon Jin Ah is a woman in her mid-30s who doesn’t know yet what it’s like to date a man. She’s been dumped by a man many times because of her clumsy, reckless, and foolish behavior. And again, a man she wanted to marry dumps her for the worst reason ever: that she’s like bland, tasteless devil's-tongue jelly, which means she’s not attractive at all as a woman. Just then, Joon Hee appears before her with a broad smile on his face. He’s as refreshing as a soft drink. Joon Hee is Jin Ah’s childhood friend's younger brother, who used to live next door. Jin Ah has always remembered him as a little kid, but one day, he comes back as a really masculine man. When she is surprised by his change, her gut feeling tells her that she would truly fall in love this time.
Serendipity's embrace is similar to something in the rain because : - Male Lead falls for Female Lead first. - Male Lead crosses paths with Female Lead after many years. - Male Lead strategizes to meet Female Lead in order to seduce her. - Female Lead has a former boyfriend pursuing her. - No love triangle.

Both show a relationship that blossoms from friendship and what happens to that relationship when tough times hit. The leads in both have great chemistry and you see characters in most struggle to “make it” in the workplace. The family drama in Us and Them is more poignant

Might contain spoilers * * * * * Older , career focused fl and younger a bit of a free spirit ml fall in love but they both tend to react a bit dramatically. In both families the sibling of the ml is hindering the romance and in both drama the mcs' families arent much in favour of the relationship and they aren't afraid of showing that creating lots of havoc. Now while the chemistry was very apparent on Something in The Rain it feels lacking in Now We Are Breaking Up. Also in both drama instead of a climax of emotions and tension the endings feel underwhelming.
Both of them are melodramas and The fl and ml both knew each other before they were lovers. The fl's both have a younger brother.
Both of them have Jung Hae In as the Main Lead. The Chemistry between the Leads are also So Good. Even though the story is different, the feeling that both if them give are similar. Both of them focuses more on the leads and not on Side stories.
