if you take out the bromance, the show is pretty much the same. in fact, the mermaid is even funnier, and its a movie, so its shorter. i remember laughing and crying watching both of these shows lol

Very different in tone and setting, but both feature main characters who are mermaids and are abducted at some point and freed by the other main character. Both are romances with lovely visuals.
