It is based on the true story of Taketsuru Masataka and his Scottish wife Rita Cowen. Masataka is the first Japanese person to produce whisky in Japan when he opened his own distillery in Hokkaido in 1934. The title comes from Rita's nickname for Masataka.
Singer Hyeon Seok develops problems with his hearing (Menieres syndrome) and has to stop his recordings. He notices a picture of Hokkaido in a magazine and decides to travel there.
