Zhan Yan focuses on solving cases instead of spending time with Duan Mu. Zhan Yan goes shopping and buys everything he thinks she will love, but Wen Gu Wei Yu says he will bring them to Duan Mu. Duan Mu learns that Zhan Yan has been avoiding her. Zhan Yan has a hallucination of Duan Mu dying so he breaks up with her. Duan Mu goes to search for clues about why he broke up with her. He suspects Duan Mu is watching and gives away her doll and makes a speech for her benefit. Duan Mu throws away her dolls, but when she goes back they are all gone.
